Bec Moorhead
Bec Moorhead is a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) at VicHip, based at The Royal Children's Hospital. She coordinates recruitment and registry activities for the site's catchment area and supports the Senior CRC with VicHip's implementation state-wide.
Experience
Bec has over six years of clinical experience and five years of research coordination. She has worked on various research projects conducted in public, private and virtual settings using a wide range of methods. She has also worked as an orthoptist and social worker with clients/patients of all ages and stages of life. Bec is passionate about health research and its potential to improve the lives of disadvantaged people. Bec has significant expertise in project management, project design and development, protocol/procedure coordination, and field team management.
Bec was awarded the Diana Craig Award for outstanding research in orthoptics and received first-class honours and commendation for academic achievement in her Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Orthoptic and Ophthalmic Sciences (with honours).
Interests
Bec is a keen creative and always has several projects on the go. She loves woodwork and sewing in particular. Her home is filled with unique items, including handmade furniture, clothing and upholstery.
