Carley Clendenning

Say hello to Carley, VicHip's Clinical Research Assistant at The Royal Children's Hospital. She supports the participation of families in VicHip and you might see her in the outpatient clinics. Carley also assists in various research activities aimed at making scientific advances and new research discoveries in hip care.

Experience

Carley has a background in nursing and midwifery, but she became interested in research after the birth of her eldest son, who was born with complex congenital heart disease. She has spent almost ten years conducting research and finds joy in working with families, supporting them through their research journey, and assisting those who have had a challenging start to life. Carley believes that participating in health research can significantly enhance the quality of knowledge about a disease or condition and ultimately benefit children and their families.

Interests

Carley loves spending quality time with her three children and taking family trips in their caravan. She also loves watching her favourite football team, the Geelong Cats.
