Mr Brian Loh
Mr Brian Loh is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Principal Investigator of the Victorian hip dysplasia registry (VicHip) for Monash Children’s Hospital. Brian cares for patients with hip dysplasia across the age spectrum and oversees the implementation of VicHip across Monash Health.
Experience
Brian is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who began consultant practice in 2016 after completing subspecialty fellowship training in paediatric orthopaedic surgery and reconstructive arthroplasty.
His sub-specialty interest is in lower limb conditions; particularly hip dysplasia, and he treats patients and their families ranging from newborns with hip dysplasia to school children with residual hip issues and adults with hip arthritis.
Brian studied medicine at the University of Melbourne and earned a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. He worked in hospitals throughout Victoria during is training and was awarded Fellowships at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) in 2015. Brian then pursued post-Fellowship training in paediatric orthopaedics at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada, followed by a Fellowship in adult reconstructive hip surgery at The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE) in Scotland.
