Mr Chris Harris

Mr Chris Harris is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Principal Investigator of the Victorian hip dysplasia registry (VicHip) for the Western Health campus, where he oversees the implementation of the registry. He is thrilled to be a part of the VicHip team.

Chris specialises in paediatric orthopaedics and limb reconstruction surgery and works at both The Royal Children's Hospital and Western Health.

 

Experience

Chris completed his medical education in the United Kingdom, followed by sub-specialty training in limb reconstruction, trauma and paediatric orthopaedics in Melbourne, where he completed two six-month fellowships. In 2007 Chris accepted consultant positions at The Royal Children's Hospital and Western Health.

Chris has extensive experience in both non-surgical and surgical management of hip dysplasia, supporting the best possible outcomes for patients and families affected by the condition. 

In 2021, Chris was appointed an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. 

Chris has published numerous articles on clinical applications, strategies, treatments and therapy in orthopaedics and trauma.
